Playing the game, I was amazed how FPS could vary from space to ground, looking up in the sky or down toward ground, flying over land or over water.
玩游戲時(shí),我驚奇地發(fā)現(xiàn),F(xiàn)PS到地面,在天空中仰望天空,或者在地面上飛行,或者在水面上飛行時(shí)非常不穩(wěn)定。

So I did several tests, cut down some features and eventualy found this simple but effective one : removing fade effect.

This mod is declined in 3 versions :

- NoFade FPS Booster :

original mod. All fades effect are disabled (terrain, water, objects, shadows). Biggest FPS boost but lots of popups. Compatible with almost any mod.

- NoFade Terrain FPS Booster :
-不褪色地形的FPS助推器:

Only disables terrain fade effect which is by far the most FPS demanding one. Big FPS Boost, on-foot experience is close to Vanilla and popups now mostly occur while flying in ships. Compatible with many mods but those editing terrain.

- NoFade Water FPS booster :

Only disables water fade effect which brings a small FPS improvement. Can be used in conjonction with NoFade Terrain FPS Booster. Global vanilla experience but popups when flying above water. Compatible with many mods but those editing water (Note that this mod is already included in Clean Water so don't use both).

Fade effect is the pixellated effect that somehow blends distant terrain into close terrain when you go toward it.

It does indeed a great job but it also appears to be a quite taxing feature :

- using vanilla game, I got an average of 50fps in the first half of the video below

- using this mod, I got a near steady 80fps

Of course, there's a drawback : terrain, vegetation and objects now pop-up instead of being more or less progressively displayed.

It's ultimately your choice : more FPS or better display, but for those having low FPS actually, this could bring some fresh air and make them having a much better time playing the game.
